Essence of white clay (plentiful in the Binh Duong) is the major raw
material for making pottery.
It is make into a pasty or liquid form and then goes into mould.
 
The mould is made of plaster and is feathered by an absorbent. After
pouring or printing,
it is brought to dry out in the sun. A semi-processed product has
been formed
when the mould has been removed when the pottery has firmed.
 
The glazing requires a high skill level. Bad enamel will affect the
color of product
 
The temperature of well-done glaze ranges from 1150 to 1200
Celsius while the time of baking is from two to four days, based on
size and the kind of kiln. |
